Packaging guidelines and importance of a good packaging 

Once you know that you have received an order, the next step is to know how to pack your product. Here we will tell you why good packaging is important and what are the guidelines to be followed while packing the product for delivery.

Importance of good packaging

It is needless to say that good packing is of utmost importance to achieve customer satisfaction. About 50% customers expect their online orders to arrive in premium packaging.

You can expect a 30-40% increase in business by investing in premium packaging methods. Besides, good packaging helps protect your product from heat, rain and transit-related damages.

Packaging guidelines

For flawless packaging, given below are some guidelines you must follow:

1.      A corrugated box or a cartonis primarily used to hold the product and to stack it during transport.
2.      A Vaadan logotape sent to you is a sign of reliability and consistency to customers.
3.      An easy-to-use tape dispenseris an added advantage.
4.      Use a standard 10mm bubble wrapto protect the item.
5.      Void fillers (One ply rolls) provide further protection to the product and ensures the product fit. 

Note – Make sure to use only the Vaadan branded taping/packaging material.

If you do not follow packaging rules, your product may suffer damages. In that case, the product may get returned and you lose valuable time, effort and money that has gone into dispatching the product.

Things to remember

1.      Use strong reinforced packaging tapes instead of strings or weak tapes like masking tapes.
2.       Damaged or feeble boxes are a sign of bad packaging. Cartons with torn edges should be completely avoided.

Use strong cartons made of durable material.

3.      It is not a good practice to leave space in the box. Minimising packaging material may cause damage to your product during transit.

The item should be packed tightly so that the product does not shift inside the box.

4.      Don’t address packages with pens, pencils or water soluble markers.

Use standard address labels and protect them with clear transparent tapes.

5.      Don’t use filler substitutes like newspapers or torn bits of paper, plastic etc. These things are not resilient to pressure which may lead to your product getting damaged.
6.   Please put the Vaadan Welcome Note inside the package as a mandatory norm.
7.   Paste the Vaadan Sticker on outside front of all packages before delivering. No parcel will be picked up for delivering without these stickers on it. These stickers, tapes and welcome notes will be provided to the sellers at free of cost by Vaadan.

Note – Please do not use any packaging material of any other marketplace with its branding on it. Prefer using plane and non-branded materials. Use of Vaadan’s tape, Vaadan’s Welcome Note and Vaadan’s Stickers on the outer front surface of the box is mandatory for all packages. In case any other brands tape, polybags, corrugated boxes, labels or any other packaging material is found dispatched, the order will be returned to the seller and further can lead to seller account suspension on Vaadan.in 

Use standard packaging material like a 10mm bubble sheet to wrap the product, tapes and labels to prevent tampering and fraudulent practices.

• Non branded polybags with glue sealing.
• Corrugated boxes

• Fragile tags stickers
